Why should you leave your legacy to Beit Halochem?

When you leave your legacy to Beit Halochem, you are giving new lives to the veterans who sacrificed their old lives as young soldiers defending Israel for us.

Your will distributes your estate through gifts, known as legacies. There are different types and they can be subject to certain conditions. Legacies fall into three categories:

–          Specific (such as stocks and shares/jewellery)

–          Fixed (gifts expressed as a sum of money)

–          Residuary (a share of the estate that remains)

You may also make a legacy conditional, for example, delaying payment until a named beneficiary reaches a certain age.

Did you know? Whilst you can’t avoid tax completely, did you know you can cut the percentage the taxman takes in Inheritance Tax if you leave at least 10% of your estate to a charity in your will.

The Four Beit Halochem Centres, in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa and Beer Sheva, provide the rehabilitation needed by the wounded veterans. The compassionate and expert staff bring hope every day to those who have lost so much. Owing to the generosity of our donors, Beit Halochem has transformed the lives of generations of brave men and women, repairing their bodies, healing their minds and enabling them to build their futures. Your legacy will mean we can continue to provide recreation centres, specialised sports facilities, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, counselling and dozens of other specialised, vital and invaluable services. More than that, your legacy will mean that we can repay the courage and rebuild the lives of each soldier who thought their life was over.

We appreciate every legacy that is promised to Beit Halochem.

We also understand that leaving a legacy can be complex, so we recommend you consult a solicitor, who will provide you with specialist advice on what type of legacy is best for you.

If you would like to receive further information or to discuss your legacy in greater details, we can put you in touch with a firm who can provide you with all the details you need

If you already know the kind of legacy you would like to leave to Beit Halochem, we would appreciate knowing a little bit more about you and type of legacy you have in mind.
