A delegation consisting of various charities and organisations that work with Veterans of the British Army visited the Beit Halochem Centre in Tel Aviv on 17 January 2017 in order to learn about how Israel looks after their Veterans, to share knowledge and to discuss best practice. The Israeli Embassy in London organised the visit to Israel for members of the armed forces, the NHS and NGO’s. As part of the visit, Beit Halochem coordinated closely with The Israeli embassy to enable the group to spend some time at Beit Halochem where they were able to participate in the various sporting activities, meet Veterans, learn about how the Centre operates, its funding stream and the benefits it provides to Israeli Veterans and their families.

This visit marks the foundation for building strong links between Veteran organisations in the UK and in Israel.
