Chief Executive
Spencer Gelding joined Beit Halochem UK in February 2012 when the UK office was established. With a successful business background in property and jewellery, Spencer has also been heavily influential in the Jewish charity world for over thirty years. His involvement in the community began as the Director of Hanoar Hatzioni and was instrumental in setting up Young Jewish Care. Since joining Beit Halochem, Spencer has helped raise more than £22 million for the four current Rehabilitation Centres in Israel. Spencer is married to Sasha and together they have two beautiful daughters, Mia and Emily.
Communications Manager
Karina Shulman joined Beit Halochem UK in January 2020, moving directly from her position as the Civil Society Affairs Officer at the Israeli Embassy in London. At the embassy, Karina was instrumental in both organising and managing events, symposiums, and delegations to and from Israel, as well as identifying new civil society partners. A graduate of The University of St Andrews, Karina earned a dual degree in Arabic and Middle Eastern History and is fluent in English, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish and French, with a professional proficiency in Arabic, Italian, and Portuguese. She proudly served in the Israeli military from 2012 to 2014. Karina’s role will include organising and managing the Veteran Games Conference in Israel, building and maintaining links between UK and Israeli Veteran Organisations and working closely with BHUK CEO on community projects and fundraising initiatives. Karina is married to Salvo and they currently live in Milan.
Operations Manager
Dina Kestenbaum joined Beit Halochem UK in October 2022. Dina has come from 12 years of Event Management experience where she was working for Arieh Wagner at The Sheraton Grand London Park Lane. Dina studied Marketing Management at the University of Westminster along side managing and planning events. Dina's responsibilities include the managing of the; Wellbeing Schools programme, Dinner Brochure, Annual BHUK Magazine, Community Events, Veteran Games Local Programmes, as well as working closely with BHUK CEO on community projects and fundraising initiatives. Dina is married to Avishai & has one daughter Liana with another child on the way BH.
